From Dan, news that footage from Sylvain Chomet’s (of the genius Triplets of Belleville) next gorgeous combination of hand-drawn and CG animation will premiere at Cannes (hopefully in the search for great distribution, fearfully in the search for finishing funds).  The film, The Illusionist, is based on a former Jacques Tati idea (rather than a mediocre Ed Norton rewrite) and sounds as wonderfully low-key and disarming as the sly (turd in the shape of Mickey) and loving (each ink line has a heartbeat) Triplets.
